Knowing Beyond Thinking: Trauma-informed Yoga for Connecting to Your Intuition
Our rational, cognitive minds are useful…. and, sometimes we end up in problem-solving thought-loops that aren’t really bringing us what we need. Luckily, we can learn to tune into our other ways of knowing, such as somatic & intuitive ways, so we can see the fuller picture.
(Some of) the yogic wisdom on this is that our minds produce suffering when they are not directed. However, when focused, they can guide us towards freedom.
This practice is designed to support you in clearing space to connect to your inner knowing. If you’ve been caught in unhelpful thought loops and need a shift, this practice is for you! We’ll begin with active asanas (postures), focusing our drishti (gaze) and settle into pranayama (breath practices) to help you clear the noise and listen inwards.
