Meditate & Manifest Your Dreams: Trauma-informed Yoga for Dreaming
This trauma-informed yoga practice ncludes a Yoga Nidra (“yogic sleep” meditation), embodied movement, and reflection. It was filmed last year (these are not currently being hosted monthly anymore - but I have more practices to come for us!).
It’s about 90 minutes long, so I recommend setting up a cozy space for your practice, perhaps an altar. You can lay out a yoga mat/carpet, a journal, blankets, pillows and any yoga props you have (optional).
In this practice I mention my teachers Malina Dawn, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, and Tricia Herscey. I highly recommend exploring their work. Malina has an online yoga studio on her Patreon, and she beautifully weaves yogic and Indigenous teachings in a very powerful, kind, and trauma-informed way. Uma is a leading expert on Yoga Nidra, and honours the roots of practice so beautifully. She also has a Patreon with regular practices, and hosts many yoga teacher trainings around the world on these topics. And, Tricia Herscey’s book Rest is Resistance truly helped me see the power of dreaming and rest for recreating our world. You can also search for her wherever you listen to podcasts.
